Cocoa Beach, FL (May 11, 2012) – For the first time on the Space Coast, a formal preparation course for the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Certification – the “Gold Standard” of information security certifications will be held June 18-22, 2012 at the Marriott Courtyard Cocoa Beach – Cape Canaveral by Tactical Security, Inc. and Training Pointe. CISSP Certification meets Federal Government and DoD agency compliance with Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) and DoD Directive 8570.1-M, and is preferred by government contracting agencies.

This course is primarily for Information Technology Security Professionals who wish to not only prepare for and pass the CISSP Exam, but also utilize this course as a launching point for other advanced security certifications such as CISA, CISM, CEH, and CHFI. The seminar will be taught by Ms. Gwen Bettwy, CISSP, SSCP, President of Tactical Security, Inc. Ms. Bettwy is known as one of the world’s leading instructors for CISSP preparation. She holds more than 15 years of technical engineering, technical management, and P&L management in the IT field and is a (ISC)² Certified Instructor.

 To obtain the CISSP certification, participants must have a minimum of four years of experience with a degree or waiver – or five years without – pass a comprehensive exam, be endorsed, and possess 120 CPE credits, which are required every three years to maintain certification.
